Sustainable handicrafts in Silveiras-SP / Artesanato sustentável em Silveiras-SP

I consider crafts as important as cooking for the culture of a country, region, state or city. These two cultures are important to demonstrate what is most intrinsic in their lives and history and manages to pass some of all ancestry aspects from some region or city forward.

In the region of the Atlantic Forest, artisans are discovering a new way of making crafts, a sustainable way that respects nature and is beautiful to see and have at home. In several towns located in the Atlantic Forest region, artisans are using dead wood, dry trunks, bark and seeds to make various sculptures and handicraft items.

In Silveiras, a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, I visited a craftsman who manufactures all the items he sells and those he has on display with what he finds from dead trees and plants.

So using the trunks he makes household utensils and sculptures; of dried seeds makes decoration and personal use items; of the branches and barks of the trees makes sculptures and items in general; and so on.

Artesanato sustentável em Silveiras/SP

Considero artesanato tão importante quando a culinária para a cultura de um país, região, estado ou Cidade. É por meio principalmente dessas duas culturas que cada povo demonstra o que tem mais intrínseco em suas vidas e história e consegue passar um pouco de toda a ancestralidade adiante.

Na região da mata atlântica, os artesãos estão descobrindo um novo modo de fazer artesanato, um modo sustentável que respeita à natureza e é belíssimo de ver e ter em casa. Em varias cidades localizadas na região da mata atlântica os artesãos estão usando madeira morta, troncos secos, cascas e sementes para fazer diversas esculturas e itens de artesanato.

Em Silveiras, cidade do interior do estado de São Paulo, visitei um artesão que fabrica todos os itens que vende e os que têm em exposição com o que encontra a partir de árvores e plantas mortas.

Então dos troncos faz utensílios domésticos e esculturas; das sementes secas faz itens de decoração e de uso pessoal; dos galhos e cascas das árvores faz esculturas e itens em geral; e por aí vai.

É um trabalho belíssimo que você pode conferir um pedacinho acima….
